JEAN RENO began his feature film career in 1978 but first came to international attention in 1987 with his portrayal of Enzo in Luc Besson's magical adventure "The Big Blue." Born in Casablanca to Spanish parents from Andalucia, Reno, who has been based in Paris, has worked extensively with Besson, co-starring in "The Last Battle" ("Le Dernier Combat") "Subway" and "La Femme Nikita." But it was Besson's most recent film, "The Professional" (titled "Leon" outside the U.S.) that brought Reno worldwide popularity. Reno also co-starred in Jean-Marie Poire's popular "Les Visiteurs" and most recently appeared with Kevin Kline and Meg Ryan in Larry Kasdan's "French Kiss." |
