KRISTIN SCOTT THOMAS (Sarah) portrayed the diffident and aristocratic Fiona in the hugely popular "Four Weddings and a Funeral." She has also recently appeared in "Angels and Insects," "The Confessional" and "Richard III." Among her other film credits are "Bitter Moon," "Spymaker: The Secret Life of Ian Fleming," "A Handful of Dust" and "The Endless Game." Born and raised in England and educated at London's Central School of Speech and Drama, she also studied at the Ecole Nationale des Arts et Technique de Theatre in Paris, where she now lives. Fluent in French, she has appeared in several French productions on the stage and for film and television. She won the Evening Standard British Film Award for the most promising newcomer in 1988. Her TV credits include the PBS/Masterpiece Theatre's "Body and Soul," "Look at It This Way" for the BBC, "Titmuss Regained" for Thames Television and the CBS miniseries "Mistral's Daughter." After her role was completed in "Mission: Impossible" Scott Thomas went on to co-star with Ralph Fiennes in "The English Patient." |
