Orphaned in Khitomer Massacre (2346), rescued by a crew member of the U.S.S. Intrepid, Sergey Rozhenko (a human). Raised on the farm world of Gault and later on Earth by Rozhenko and his wife Helena. Entered Starfleet Academy (2357). Graduated Starfleet Academy (2361) - first Klingon warrior to serve in Starfleet. SERVICE RECORD (HIGHLIGHTS) Assigned to U.S.S. Enterprise-D (2364) as Lieutenant, Junior Grade; served as flight controller. Promoted to lieutenant, assigned as acting security chief upon death of Lt. Natasha Yar (2364). Resigned Starfleet commission to take part in the Klingon Civil War (2367-8). Subsequently reinstated in Starfleet. Took personal leave at monastery on planet Boreth (2370). Promoted to lieutenant commander (2371). Took extended personal leave at monastery on planet Boreth (2371). Assigned to station Deep Space 9 by Starfleet Command to act as a consultant, following the Klingons' unsuccessful invasion of Cardassia (2372). Later permanently posted as station's strategic operations officer. (Let this record take special note that Worf's loyalty to Starfleet in these matters was unwavering despite great cost, to himself and his family, of both possessions and position on the Klingon homeworld.) Commanded Starship Defiant protecting a Cardassian convoy (2372). Ordered destruction of a decloaking Klingon ship, which proved to be an unarmed transport. Klingons requested Worf's extradition to try him for murder; denied after incident was proved to be a ruse engineered by the Klingon government. PERSONAL Has one son, Alexander Rozhenko, born 2367, by K'Ehleyr (deceased). Took in Jeremy Aster after his mother, Lt. Marla Aster, was killed in action (2366). Was instrumental in the restoration of the ceremonial Emperor of the Klingon People (a clone of the original Kahless the Unforgettable (2369). Hobbies include building ancient Klingon ocean vessels in bottles. Is very fond of prune juice.
