PETER

Peter is the second oldest boy, whose greatest and most recent challenge has been coping with puberty -- his increasing libido, raging hormones and the fact that his voice cracks conspicuously under stress. Sex education is a terrifying mystery -- when called on in class to answer a simple question about the female reproductive system, he promptly passes out.

He earns pocket money running errands for his neighbor, Mrs. Ditmeyer, who thinks he's cute in a perverse sort of way, and he is described by his high school crush, Holly, as "a babe, in a Gilligan sort of way". And what does Peter think of red-haired Holly? "You're Ginger and Maryanne combined!"

To win Holly's undying love and affection, he must stand up to his worst nightmare, Eric Ditmeyer, the bully next door; and, incredibly, he manages to do it. In recognition of his bravery, he is rewarded with a kiss, which instantly turns him into a man with a new-found voice approximately four octaves lower than before, which in turn enables him to do the most awesome Elvis impersonation ever seen at the Search for the Stars talent competition.

Peter's other interests include hanging out with younger brother Bobby, racing frogs, bike riding and other neat-o guy-type stuff.

Biggest boo-boo: throwing a football smack into Marcia's nose.

Favorite sport: potato sack racing.
