SAMANTHA EGGAR (Lily Palmer) plays the elegant and wealthy doyenne of 1930's Long Island society who can't fathom the travel bug that has gotten into her daughter, Diana.
Miss Eggar received the Palme D'Or Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival, the Golden Globe from the Hollywood Foreign Press, and was an Academy Award® nominee for her stunning performance in William Wyler's chilling drama, "The Collector."
In addition, Samantha Eggar's screen roles include "Walk, Don't Run," in which she starred with Cary Grant, "Doctor Doolittle" opposite Rex Harrison, "Dark Horse," "Doctor Crippen," "Psyche 59," "Return From the Ashes," and David Cronnenberg's thriller, "The Brood." She also appeared in "The Seven Percent Solution," "The Walking Stick," Anatole Litvak's "Lady in the Car With Glasses and a Gun," "Mareth Line," "Curtains," "Light at the Edge of the World," "Why Shoot the Teacher?," "Loner," "The Exterminator," and Martin Ritt's "The Molly Maguires."
She has made numerous television appearances and her impressive theater roles include London productions of "The Lonely Road" with Sir Anthony Hopkins and opposite John Hurt in Anton Chekov's "The Seagull."
