TIM MATHESON

Tim Matheson recently starred opposite Chris Farley and David Spade in Paramount's "Black Sheep" as a gubernatorial candidate whose brother (Farley) is a definite campaign liability.

Matheson made his feature film debut in "Divorce American Style" starring Dick Van Dyke and Debbie Reynolds, and subsequently appeared opposite Lucille Ball, Henry Fonda and Van Johnson in "Yours, Mine & Ours." His breakout performance as preppy snob Eric "Otter" Stratton in "Animal House" led to additional roles in such films as "1941," "Dreamer," "A Little Sex," "To Be Or Not To Be," "Fletch" and "Drop Dead Fred."

Matheson is an experienced television director, with credits such as "St. Elsewhere," "Breach of Conduct," starring Peter Coyote and Courtney Thorne-Smith and "Tails You Live, Heads You're Dead," with Corbin Bernsen. His television acting work includes the series "Charlie Hoover" with the late Sam Kinison, Showtime's "Fallen Angels" anthology series starring as Howard Hughes, telefilms "While Justice Sleeps," "Shameful Secrets," "Buried Alive" with Jennifer Jason Leigh and "Quicksand: No Escape" with Donald Sutherland. Matheson recently completed the ABC thriller "An Unfinished Affair" opposite Jennie Garth, and the action film "Twilight Man" opposite Dean Stockwell for the Encore Network.

Matheson was raised in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley, where he enrolled in an acting class and soon earned the attention of an agent. In 1961, he made his first guest appearance on the television series "Window on Main Street," which led to roles on such popular series as "The Twilight Zone," "Leave It To Beaver," "My Three Sons" and "The Mickey Rooney Show." In addition, Matheson was the original voice of "Johnny Quest" and other popular Hanna-Barbera characters.
